David goes to the fountain that GG said squirrels would be. He studies some acorns he finds and then out of nowhere a squirrel shows up. He realizes that this is a squirrel GG warned him about, a sandwich thief. The squirrel comes closer to David as if to say “please feed me”. He produces the only thing he has in his pocket, an apple. He gives it to the squirrel and it smiles! Then a bully squirrel shows up and the ‘sandwich thief’ runs so quickly he is up a tree faster than the blink of an eye. He thinks how hard would that be if he only had 1 eye. David realizes that Conker can’t climb trees, he’s a sitting duck that’s extremely vulnerable.
