David couldn’t finish his story that night, or the next, or the next. He had to settle on a two page chapter that Lucy hated. He had to go back and fix it, but Gadzooks, David’s dragon, would only say NINE BONGS. Apparently that was a spooky thing that David didn’t want to write about. Then Sophie came and David asked if she wanted to go on a walk with him. She said everyone should go, so everyone went to the library gardens.
