David ran to Mr. Bacon’s gate to get in. The gate was firmly locked and there were rose bushes growing to prevent someone from climbing. He was going to ram it but Mr. Bacon opened the gate before he got there so he ran into a BBQ grill. Mr. Bacon had been trying to kill Snigger and Conker but failed. David came back to tell Lucy but she had to go to bed.
